Greetings!
It has been a busy and great weekend for the Anderson Band.
Thirteen students advanced to the Area level of the TMEA All State Band process to compete against students from North San Antonio – CT Johnson, Reagan, Westlake, Austin ISD and Leander ISD in the final leg of the ALL STATE audition process. Congratulations to Haven Erengil, Bridgette Abbott, Mary White, Kenny Brock, Philippe Papa, Steven Oh, Kyla Siebert, Chase Latson, Will Sztejnberg, Viveca Holman, Jonathan Churchett, David Oh and Owen Chance on advancing to this difficult audition. This is the best area showing we have had in quite some time! Moving on to the TMEA All-State Band with a first chair placement in the AREA E Bassoon room is Jonathan Churchett! Jonathan is the third 4 year all-state student in Anderson History and the first band student to earn that honor. Congrats and best of luck to Jonathan! We know he will represent us well in San Antonio. Again, Congrats to ALL of these amazing band students who continued to practice and polish their etudes during holiday break. They represented us very well this weekend! So proud to be an Anderson Trojan!

Pit Orchestra will meet tomorrow after school and Full Orchestra rehearsals have resumed.
Basketball Band will be playing at the Boy’s Basketball game this Friday – Come out and support our great team! Thanks to those who attended the girls’ game Friday – they really appreciate the support!
Region Band Clinic and Concert is January 20 and 21 – a flyer with information and details went home with students Friday.
All City Band (select students) will take place January 27 and 28 at the Austin ISD PAC.
