Greetings!
Congratulations to the Trojan Band for an amazing performance yesterday! We were very lucky and managed to get our prelims show in before the contest was cancelled for the remainder of the day due to weather. Thank you SO much to all of the parents that helped us at various points in the day and thank you to our cheering section! Because it was such a odd day and end to the contest, BOA will not be posting scores or recaps publicly. We will get our judges feedback and will share with students on Monday so we can continue to prepare for UIL next week.
We are nearing the end of marching season – if you haven’t come to see a game, please do! Sit with our awesome parent cheering section and cheer as loud as possible for our band! We only have THREE weeks left of competitive marching season and the show Connect-US!
** We have a stadium rehearsal this coming Saturday leading into UIL** – somehow it did not make it on the band calendar and for that we are very sorry.** It’s there now, and I don’t want to go without it because we have such a big performance Tuesday night at UIL – so just a head’s up. I’m going to cut out some ‘week’ rehearsals this week to make sure we don’t go over 8 hours with our long Saturday rehearsal at Nelson Field as we head into out Marching Band UIL Week next week!
Monday will be only 2 hours (5-7pm)

Uniforms go home to wash after Tuesday’s UIL contest.
- If we get ONES Tuesday at UIL, we will advance to AREA on Saturday. Saturday’s competition will be at Hero’s Stadium in San Antonio. AREA competition will work similar to Cap City and BOA where there is a prelims and finals. If the band advances to finals, the top finals bands will advance to State the following week (Nov 6/7). Schedule will come out mid week after Regional UIL is complete and the contenders are announced.
