Here are the top 7 things on the BAND TODO LIST that you won’t want to forget!

  1. MEALS!  The catering committee is dedicated to getting our band fed on those fast paced game days – and they need time to plan!  DEADLINE for ordering your meals is AUG 15!  Trust me – this will make you and your child’s life a MILLION times easier.  AUG 15….Order those delicious meals!  If you have issues with the link order them online and send cash or check to school with your child.
  2. All Freshmen get a YARD SIGN compliments of the Band Boosters!  However, if you are a returning member and you need to purchase a yard sign – you may do so HERE.  They are $20…email Mary Nielson if you are ordering as well to make sure you get on her list! mary@nielsonlegal.com
  3. FORD TEST DRIVE is this week!  Please SIGN UP here to help with a shift!  Everyone else – get your friends and family to come drive!!  It’s fun and the band has the opportunity to make $6,000!  We have never accomplished the maximum amount before…let’s make it happen this year!!! (so much better than serving Concessions for hours on end to make the same amount like other groups do!). Starting shift is 9-10 all the way to the ending shift concluding at 3pm!  If every band and guard kid gets 2 drives we reach our goal!
  4. LETTER JACKET PACKETS for seniors (pink) are on a stand by the white board in the band hall.  EVERY SENIOR gets a letter jacket curtesy of the Band Boosters!  If you want extra patches and decor, use the order form to purchase.  Fittings will be the same shift as picture day this Tuesday from 2-5pm. Bring your completed order form (everyone will need an order form, even if not purchasing patches).
  5. Want to FLAMINGO those out of town family and friends?  Virtual flamingoing is up and running in the online store!  There is even a field available for that donation to credit your favorite band section….VIRTUAL FLAMINGO TODAY!  All virtual donations will be tallied for the last day.  What a way to catch the other sections by surprise for the WIN!
  6. FAIR SHARE!  The first fair share (band fees) payment was due last week.  {Click here to pay}  This payment is important because it allows me to make deposits on the St. Louis trip and order everything we need for the marching season…..get that $200 in!  If you have questions or concerns please email me Andrea.k.gonzalez@austinisd.org
  7. PANORMIC PICTURES are this Friday.  Your child will need the Casual uniform – the band polo that freshmen will get in the next few days, tan shorts, white shoes and the brown belt.  Gather the items and send them to school with your student on Friday!
