We had a fabulous senior recognition at Friday night’s football game – it was a lovely celebration of some amazing students! Thank you to all who came out for the evening!
This past weekend some of our Trojan Band students competed for a spot in the All-Region Orchestra. This is a highly-competitive event because they accept fewer people into the ensemble, and the audition takes place three weeks before All-Region Band. At this audition, students are not only competing to be part of the ensemble, but they can also automatically qualify for the All-Area audition in January, which is one level below All-State.

As a staff, we are so proud of all the hard work our students have put in up to this point, and are excited to see how they do in a few weeks at All-Region!
FULL ORCHESTRA starts tomorrow morning! If you are interested, come to rehearsal at 7:45am in the band hall. Full orchestra rehearses Monday mornings and Friday mornings from 7:45-8:50am in the band hall. It’s a fun way to play new music!!
Coming up, the region jazz clinic and concert are Monday, November 13 and Tuesday, November 14.
The region orchestra clinic for those that qualified this past weekend is Nov 16 and 17.
Immediately when we get back, REGION BAND AUDITIONS will take place on Nov 30 and December 2. These auditions are required for all symphonic and wind ensemble students and is a big part of their grade for the 6 weeks. Region Band concert and clinic for those that qualify is December 8 and 9. Please plan accordingly for these dates!!

WINTERGUARD TRYOUTS are 11/13 and 11/15 in the band hall – NO EXPERIENCE necessary to try out (band students welcome too!). Talk to Ms. Gonzalez or Mr. Henry if you have questions.
JAZZ BAND AUDITION Materials will be posted on Monday!! Jazz band is open to everyone who plays a traditional jazz instrument either as their primary or secondary! Audition materials will be available in the band hall on Monday and auditions will take place on Thursday and Friday November 17 and 18. See Mr. Cleveland with questions.
Winter Band Concert is Tuesday evening, December 5.
ABBA Meeting is tomorrow night (Monday, Nov 13) in the band hall area. Come join fellow band parents in planning and supporting the band!
